The Ponca chair was born from the desire to reinterpret the classic wooden chairs with curved legs, typical of Italian trattorias, characterized by their rustic and reassuring appearance. To create a contemporary chair based on these foundations, while maintaining their qualities, it was decided to combine traditional elements with clean lines and updated proportions, obtaining a result that perfectly fits any environment. Ponca features ergonomic seat and backrest designed to provide optimal comfort during prolonged use and to be ideal even in a contract environment, its design has been carefully studied to allow for high stackability.
The legs are made of solid wood, giving a stable and sturdy appearance while remaining lightweight thanks to their slim and outwardly curved lines, thus maintaining a subtle and refined elegance. To represent this duality, the delicate balance between solidity and refinement, the name Ponca was chosen. Ponca is a particular rock formation present in an area that extends between Friuli, Slovenia, and Istria, which, due to the mixture of two rocks (marl and sandstone), offers a unique and distinctive terrain for viticulture and the production of quality wine. Ponca is, therefore, an elegant, reassuring, strong, and slender chair at the same time.
